CHRIS MURPHY - ELEMENTS MUSICAL CURATOR
Violinist/Fiddler/Songwriter/Music Teacher Chris Murphy will be returning for for his 4th year at Elements as a performer and 3rd year as Musical Director .
A graduate of Jazz Studies from New England Conservatory Of Music, Chris is celebrating his 30th year as a professional Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz and World Musician. Murphy brings an unbridled and unabashed love of performing, teaching and sharing of music to the Elements community. Chris will be curating 5 nights of live performance, including hosting an open mic/talent night open to everyone and will bringing his unique and personal BLACKTREE MUSIC SCHOOL to be the music-program-in residence at the Elements Gathering. The BLACKTREE SCHOOL at ELEMENTS is open to music lovers of all levels, abilities and instruments and will focus on group music making, ensemble skills, singing songs, learning to improvise, rhythmic awareness, intro to songwriting, harmony singing, instrument technique and development of personal style .
