ANDREAS GECK
A musician by trade, Andreas lives on a self-sufficient homestead in the Santa Susanna Mountains, just outside of Los Angeles with wife Kenya Strong and their family. They have been featured on the “Ricky Lake Show” as the “Urban Green Family”, demonstrating possibilities for a lifestyle connected to nature and maximizing options to live responsibly in our techno-infused world.
Andreas will be mentoring a course in bread making. “Bread is really the foundation. Foundation of a meal, but also of a lifestyle that can lead to making more foods at home in even the most restrictive settings.” The course will not only explain how to make breads and sourdoughs at home, but also go into possibilities to make cheese, honey, sausages and canned goods. It strives to inspire creativity at home to live a more green, and ultimately more cost-efficient way of life.
